"Gisele Kerozene"

AMAZING...Wow
Ok I just cant imagine how long this took and how tedious this project was.... It just totally blows my mind...
The actors for this film must of have been in the fittest shape and most have been dead tired by the end of one scene. I would of killed myself. If you guys couldn't tell I was completely amzazed by this film even though during the whole time I wasn't paying that much attention to what was going on and more of how they did it.
I fell like that is one of my down falls...One thing that I've noticed about myself is that whenever I watch a film of some sort the first time I watch it I always pay attn to the technical aspect of things and kinda just soak in what is happening... kinda with a brain dead approach, just watch it for fun and then analyze later... Then obviously with films I like to watch them again to then analyze them and have the ablility to make connections with things that were at the beginning of the film and end of the film (shots, lines just subliminal things). ok
Well back on topic this movie
I did find this movie very intriging and interesting and impressive on the technical aspects but the story line was simple... People worship object some bully takes object outmanovers everybody and when every one is hurt/ dead he gives the object back... Basically he took it for laughs and giggles... It didn't affect him in anyway but it ended up with many being hurt or killed.
again this could be something with the aspect of America and our self centeredness. Taking our money for granted while other people need it to survive but we barley look back and when we do its almost too late. ( I really doubt that's right but it sounded better in my head)
Or it could be a business term where basically you do what ever you can for yourself and not worry about others and screwing them over until you don't want that anymore and you go after something else more challenging ( I like this one better )
I really don't know I'm just trying to make connections and I could totally be off in these interpretations but like I said earlier I would prefer to watch it a 2nd time but I don't really have a choice
Peace

"A Ninja Pays Half My Rent."

I must admit I don't know where to get these photos so I usually steal them from other students, mainly Caitlynn bc she seems like she knows what she's doing and is really the only student who's commented on my blogs :) so thanks
Ok as a piece of work I can see how this is well done and everything but I must admit I didn't find it thought out or with any artistic meaning at all. This is just my own opinion though so don't like kill me over it I could be wrong.
But it just seemed like the character was completely senseless and had no emotion toward others because when his 1st roommate got grapefruit juice in his eye he didn't do anything and he died over it and it seemed like he had no emotion over it at all. Then also When the black ninja died he didn't care and just let the other ninja in. So maybe it actually talks about how humans are insensitive toward death. (So I may be changing my mind while I go with this about the artistic meaning). I have a whole tone of stuff I can rant and rave over about Americas insensitivity toward thing... Its really one thing that makes me mad but I'm not going to go into that right now.
I did however even though at first I didn't like the artistic meaning behind it I found it hilarious and I believe that's a good enough reason to watch a film sometimes it doesn't even need to have artistic value behind it but just for fun and some movies turn out that way... (like Napoleon dynamite... Which BTW I hated... Ah don't hurt me)
yea that's all I got to say

"The Climactic Death of Dark Ninja"...

I gotta admit guys I really enjoyed this Film.
It was a good mix between comedy and the actually experiences of a filmmaker.
I loved how the main actor kept on saying "this is the Climatic moment" The script was written so well that I wanted to say to the kid "WE GET IT" lol
The first thing that I noticed of this film was the color. I mean wow that color of the film of the forest was just really high quality. That's really one of the first things that made me think.... Maybe this is a actual film and not some made up things. However the one thing that threw me off is at first there was some visual confusion (at least to me) with just all the different camera angles and changing between them, but after a bit I got used to it. There were some camera angles that I really was impressed with. One being the shot looking down at the "camera man" dude from up in the tree. I really enjoyed how they showed the perspective of the person viewing the talker.
Everything really seemed planed out and it really seemed like a bunch of people got together and said..."What's the worst things that we've experienced on a shoot" and put them together and just made it amazing. And I really enjoyed the little brother that was color blind...That really just added a ton to the whole scene
that's All

Photography

Hey Hey guys
Well we've Been talking in class in having a meaning behind what we do with our visuall creations. We'll in high school I took alot of photography classes and when i was taking the class and the pictures I really never had any Theme or deeper meaning to my pictures i just took what i thought was to be cool pictures. Now my teacher always had like a theme such as shutter speed and such things like that but we never really discussed having a deeper meaning besides those subtopics.

I really dont know what I'm going at here but I think I have 2 Points/Questions and really all you guys can try to answer because I would like to know what you think but,

1) does this mean that The photography that I've taken technically doesnt have any artistic meaning behind it

2) How do you make photography that it has a deeper meaning. (At least in my style of photography it seems like it may be hard)

So let me know and it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

"Girl In Red"

Ok to Start out when I try to analyze a film I like to have to see it more than once. This is because that I feel that the first time I'm exposed to a piece of work I like to soak it in and just get the basics of what's happening in a movie. Then I like to watch it a second, third or how many times it takes to analyze it. So My problem with trying to blog abt this is that I haven't had the second experience to watch it and yes I did look online for the movie but I couldn't find it.
so by going on what I saw and its probably going to be nothing that deep.

Ok I'm just going to jump in and say that the out of this whole movie I don't remember most of it but there was one part that just stuck out to me and I don't know exactly what it means but here it goes.

the part of the movie is the part where it looks like she is wiping a tear from both the moving face and the still face. Now I don't know what that means but it really stuck out to me and I definitely think it means something and I have an idea but let me talk for awhile and then ill try to make a connection.

Ok I not sure if we talked abt this in class or not but I feel that this is a display of either "Masks" you know how people put up masked to hide on who they actually are. I think it shows this because the person underneath is really dead and not moving and the artist is trying to give the impression that there is life in this child through the color and movement of this child.

The other idea I had was the loss of innocence of a child. Because again with death the child is dead underneath and when people look at this child they think of a child who is innocent, happy, lively, and cute but the truth which lie underneath is really the opposite which is dead and motionless and depressing.

Now when the girl wipes the tear I believe that this is a tranfer between both realms. And if we go with the mask idea that it is showing part of how she really feels underneath or a slip of that mask.

For the other viewpoint that it is a loss of innocence it really can just really represent the same thing that this girls underneath is really broken and this is a physical manisfestation of that brokenness and she's letting it out

Hey guys let me know what you think

One thing that I always thought was awesome and horrible at the same time it the phrase "Once and artist creates a piece a work with a meaning behind it and shows it to an audience, it doesn't matter what the artist wanted it to mean but it's how the audience interprets the piece" and even if the audience is totally off there is still a message being relayed through this art piece and the artist no longer has control of this piece

Just a thought

Peace Guys

Baby Got Book ... WHAT?

Ok so this is really the first blog that is aimed at some piece of work that was shown in Class.
I'll be honest to start out. I'm not a big blog fan just because I don't like writing stuff that anybody can just read. In a way I'm a very personal guy and not a person to speak up in groups so this is going to take some getting used to by me.
Now as for the piece of work that I'm going to talk abt. Its the "Baby Got Book" piece.

I'm going to be blunt in saying that I hate this peace. I've seen it before and have never been a big fan of this song. The reasons for this is one it is based of a secular peace of music which is very crude and if you've ever seen the music video for that you know what I mean and if you haven't and just heard the lyrics you also know what I mean. Now the second reason that I don't like this peace is because it is very unoriginal. I originally heard this song when it came out and that was a while ago. However the time period between when I saw the original piece and this one I heard plenty of "remakes" of the movie just changing the words around for a different meaning and it just annoyed me when I found this one because I really hate trends that are set in our industry and people just take one idea and keep on redoing it to they totally kill it. And if you couldn't tell I think this idea has been dead for awhile.
And as we discussed in class I also totally agree with what our Prof said. I don't really know how he phrased it but he asked abt the two peaces of works and asked which one was Christian and which one wasn't. And the answer for this peace was that it wasn't Christian. Now I realize that the people who wrote it were Christian and that they meant to just be funny and have a good time writing it but they didn't realize what type of message they were giving to anyone who was taking this in an artistic point of view and not just a relaxed funny point of view.
So yea as you can tell I'm not a big fan abt this movie and if you have any question or comments on why just drop a couple and we'll talk :)
