Ok well I really Enjoyed this film and I can tell because i was think abt it and its message throughout Chapel and my first class
I really wish i could of blogged abt this right after class because that was when i was really pumped up and had like a million thoughts running through my head. But as for right now ill just tell you some things that went through my head during that period
Ok I believe the main theme that made me think is "Am I doing what I'm sopposed to be doing in life or is there a higher calling in my life" and man wow does this question suck after just "deciding" what your going to do for the rest of your life and planning the next 4 years upon that. I just thought of my plans of either being a Cienamatography, steady-cam operator, Lighting director or Audio director. Then i realize how trivial that will all be at the end of my life and how it really wont mean anything except some respect in credits that noone reads. Then that just unleashes a whole flood of questions wondering "if thats not what i should do then what is", and in the long run i wont really change my goals however then has the artist failed and does media actually affect in a way that people will do something abt it. and if it isnt then why am i going into a field that is just going to have me fail...
Idk, and thats just a portion of the thoughts that went through my mind theres alot more but i dont feel that confertable talking abt that much personal stuff online so i wont

Now onto the actuall movie...
One thing that really got me is this mans Humility....wow having people come and tell you what to do to protect "the naturally grown Forest" that you created and not say anything abt it. then taking advice from people and act as if its good even though you probably allready knew it. I just was amazed on how this man did his mission from god and took no credit and did it so it affected many peoples lifes...wow
Another thing that i saw that was interesting is how when you first come to this area the author states that there are barly any plants growing except some wild grass and the towns are deserted and there is no water in the well. But by the time the man dies the towns have Plenty of all that stuff and how when you first meet the man he's planted 10,000 trees and at the end 10,000 people are now happyly living in these areas because of the trees he's planted
I really didnt capture what i wanted to do in this blog but thats because of these darn words...grr
Cya Guys hope ya liked the blog
Justin
